A Message From Pastor Michael Kea
After 42 years, we find ourselves now moving into this new season together. I have been spending much time in prayer regarding our collective journey. In our recent reflections, we have discussed the necessity of prioritizing our relationship with God above the noise of our daily lives—learning to distinguish the truly important from the merely urgent.
I am reminded of the foundational commitment we share: to remain steadfast, not just when the path is clear, but especially when we are called to grow through change. Our strength as a body of believers has always been found in our resilience and our refusal to be fair-weather followers of Christ. Whether we are navigating new administrative transitions, celebrating the ordination of dedicated leaders, or simply doing the daily work of living out our faith, our purpose remains the same: to align our hearts intentionally with the will of God.
As we look toward the upcoming months—including our upcoming anniversary celebrations and continued community outreach—I encourage you to consider where God is calling you to deeper engagement. Are you making space for Him in the quiet moments? Are you leaning into the community we have built together?
Leadership is a shared burden and a shared joy. I am grateful for the transparency, the hard work, and the persistent faith that each of you brings to this house. Let us continue to support one another, upholding the covenant that binds us as a family, and trusting that the work we do today is building a legacy of faith for those who will follow.
Please continue to keep our leadership team and our upcoming initiatives in your prayers. I look forward to seeing the fruit of our faithfulness in the weeks to come.

May 2026 was a busy month for CFEC. A few important events were held. There was a special tribute for Mother’s Day on 10 May, and CFEC celebrated their 42nd Church Anniversary (24 May) with a guest minister (Minister John Payton) for the morning service. An ordination service was held for two deacons and two elders in an afternoon service on 24 May. These events were special to our congregation, so this month’s Spotlight features photos that were taken during the events.
