In Loving Memory
Celebrating the Life & Homegoing of Mother Rachel Ann “Mother O” Outterbridge
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”2 Corinthians 5:8
With joyful praise and deep gratitude, we celebrate the extraordinary life and triumphant homegoing of our beloved Rachel Ann Outterbridge—affectionately cherished by us all as “Mother O”. Born on Christmas Day, she was truly a gift to the kingdom of God and a founding pillar of Christian Fellowship Evangelistic Church alongside her late husband, Pastor Donald D. Outterbridge.
Mother O poured her boundless energy and elegance into God’s Word and His people. She was an anointed Sunday School teacher, a loving nurturer of our Shepherd’s Care and Mother’s Board, and the passionate director of “The Precious Jewels” children’s choir, where she instilled a lifelong love for gospel music in our youngest members. Blessed with remarkable business sense and creativity, she brought excellence to everything she touched—whether curating unforgettable journeys as the founder of Steal Away Travel, crafting custom bridal wear as a master seamstress, or faithfully stewarding the finances of our church and the Northern District from lean seasons into years of plenty.
For years, Mother O joyfully arranged first-class travels for others. On October 7th, with her heavenly passport in hand, she took her own ultimate flight into the presence of the Lord. As we keep the entire family in our love and prayers, we rejoice knowing Mother O is now reunited with Pastor O and singing in the heavenly choir. Well done, good and faithful servant!
